Happy September!

Hey Friends,

It’s been quite a little while since I last sent out a newsletter. It seems the time goblin came and took days and turned them into weeks before I could even blink. I would like to tell you that I have been whiling away on a tropical island all summer, but alas I have not. Lol.

The good news is that I have spent my summer with my nose in my manuscript. I have lost myself in Montgomery and Annie’s story and seemed to have forgotten to come up for air. I am about halfway through writing it and it’s been equal parts challenging and fun. Who needs a tropical vacation when you can go to a place filled with magic and intrigue in Victorian England? 😊

I know what you’re thinking, Genevieve how are you only halfway through writing this? I KNOW. I have asked myself the same question. My answer is mostly that I am a Capricorn and I decided I wanted the bones of every single book in this series down before I took the plunge. I didn’t go completely crazy and outline every book, but I know the story and plot for every book in the series. I like to know where I’m going.

I’m hoping by the next newsletter, I will have more to share with you about these two characters and what they are getting up to. Let’s just say they are good at finding trouble. 😊
Speaking of troublemakers, Matilda cat is still stirring up her usual doses of mayhem. From stealing dog beds to trying to jump on her dog brother’s back, it’s always an interesting time. I keep trying to catch some of her antics on video, but she is so quick I always seem to miss it.

Have you read any good books lately? I feel like I am in a bit of a reading rut at the moment. But to be fair most of my time has been dedicated to writing. I am about to start the Temptation of Magic by Megan Scott. Have any of you read that one yet? If you have let me know how you liked it! But please no spoilers! 😊
