Happy April!

Hey Friends,

I’m so happy that spring is here and all the flowers are finally blooming. I seriously don’t know how we got here. Wasn’t it January like two seconds ago? Lol. 😂

I have been in my editing cave, working out the kinks in my new series. There are lots of moving parts in this one. The betrayal of an Egyptian Queen, an orphan with no idea how to use her powers, and a know-it-all professor who is completely out of his depth. And did I mention time travel was involved? And murder? It’s certainly a challenge, but a fun one. 🙂

I don’t have a date yet for when it will go up for pre-order, as I am terrible at doing the math to calculate how long my edits will take, at least at this point in the game. I also got the disappointing news that my editor is no longer taking on freelance work so I have to find a new one. But never fear I will prevail and get it all sorted out. Please just be patient with me.

Matilda (my cat for those of you that are new here) has been no help at all. She is really slacking in her job as a writing assistant. She is getting too sidetracked with catnip and lambchop and not buckling down and getting her work done. I told her I was considering hiring a replacement, but I don’t think she believes me. Lol. She isn’t wrong. I think she is enough to keep up with on her own. Rugby (my dog) is also no help and never has been in the writing department. He says he’s retired and has no plans to pick up extra work. It’s really hard to find good help these days. Haha.

When I am not working away at my edits, I have been enjoying the latest season of The Gilded Age. If you haven’t seen this show, I highly recommend it, it just keeps getting better!

In book world I just finished reading A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna. It’s a nice light read, and I really enjoyed it. What are you guys reading? Anything wonderful I should know about?
