A DESPERATE CHOICE. A ONCE IN A LIFETIME LOVE.
Luna didn’t mean to leave Zander behind, it wasn’t part of the plan.
But now she’s on the run and must find a way to save Zander before it’s too late. It’s just her luck that the cocky, arrogant Erick Brevard is her only hope to do either.
One thing she knows for sure is she can’t get Zander out alone, so she’s stuck with smooth-talking Mr. Suave who’s used to getting what he wants.
Luna is done being a pawn in the government’s plot to create a super race. When she unveils a diabolical plan that involves sending her back in time with no guarantee she will be able to return, she goes undercover on a mission to reclaim the one object that can stop them before it’s too late.
But does saving humanity mean losing Zander forever? Or even herself?
Dig into the emotionally gripping conclusion of the highly anticipated Cage of Glass trilogy as Luna finds herself faced with the age-old question. How far will you go to save the ones you love?
The security goons were closing in. I glanced back a minute too long and tripped on something, falling to my knees. I gritted my teeth, realizing it was a trip wire, the sting of metal tore through my flesh, blood leaking through my ripped pants. I pushed myself up, forcing my legs back into motion.
The border was in sight now, I could see it teaming with government security, monitoring the exit to the Capital dome.
How in the world was I supposed to escape?
“Stop in the name of the Capital!” A voice boomed behind me.
I didn’t turn to look this time. My eyes stayed on the prize, scanning for any alternate solution. If I got caught, Zander would receive no help on the outside.
No way in hell would I give up.
I needed a new plan—but I’d have to get rid of the feds on my tail first. I took a sharp turn down a side street leading away from the border patrol.
My change in direction did nothing to deter the militia at my back. At least four men hounded me, now only about a foot away.
The clock key was still ice cold against my palm, its copper metal biting into my skin as I gripped it tightly to my chest. I would rather die than let those deviants get their greedy little hands on it.
Time ticked down. The seconds chinking mercilessly away in my head, like a bomb ready to explode. My image was probably plastered on every port screen by now. Backup would have already been called—and when they arrived, it would be game over.
I bit my lip and pumped my legs harder. I was small, but fast. I came up to the edge of the dome, but there was no opening. Only one way in and one way out. The government made sure of that.
I continued running, right toward the boundaries of the dome, praying for a miracle.
And somehow, under some cosmic force I knew nothing about, I got my wish.
