Hi Friends,
I hope you are having an amazing week!
Normally on a Wednesday I put out an Anything is Possible Wednesday’s Video, but I picked up an amazingly bad case of the pink eye. As such I decided to spare you the gruesome sight of an infected eye and refrained from video making for this week.
Having this issue with my eye made me think about life and how easy it is to put up a resistance to what is.
Sometimes no matter how much you want something, life has other plans.
Today I wanted to talk to you about how to handle life when things don’t go your way.
For example I was totally frustrated that I was unable to make my video this week, and that it was essentially out of my hands.
At first I fought hard, I tried everything I could to make the swelling and redness subside. Nothing worked. I was unable to make the video.
Finally, I came to the realization that I had to surrender, and accept how things were. In other words I had to LET IT GO.
It was when I finally surrendered that my pink eye started to improve, and I began to heal.
Sometimes what the Universe has planned for us is often better than what we want for ourselves. So if we can release those things we desire—not hold on so tightly, we will begin to see a shift for the better.
Theodore Roosevelt said; “Do what you can with what you have where you are.”
As long as we do the best we can with what we have, and release the outcome that is when the best miracles come about.
What are your thoughts on this?
I would love to hear from you in the comments on the best way you deal with life’s surprises.
Love,
Genevieve
