Happy New Year!

Hey Friends,

Happy New Year! Hope your new year has gotten off to a wonderful start.

Mine has been a bit rocky. My beloved Lailah passed away last week, and for those of you who have been following me for any length of time know that she was my whole heart. She spent many faithful hours by my side. Every single one of my books you’ve read was written with my little Lailah right next to me. She was the sweetest soul, and I miss her dearly. Matilda is doing what she can to help with writing duties, but cats have their own schedules. 🙂  I will keep you posted as to how it all goes from here. Matilda said she can’t promise anything, she has lots of parties and whatnot to attend. Apparently, she is very popular. Here are a couple of photos of my girl, for those of you who are new. She was just the cutest. (Weeping)

The weather seemed to reflect my sadness this week when South Carolina received snow and ice on Tuesday night.  We’ve been pretty much at a grounding halt ever since, waiting for it all to melt. Hopefully today there will be more sun and it will make the roads a little less slick. As a Vermonter, it’s weird for me to see everything stop for this amount of snow. I prefer the warmth and am ready for it to warm up.

In other news, you all know that I’ve been hard at work drafting the first adventure of Annie and Montgomery. I’m happy to say that I finally have a title. Not to be a tease, but I’m not ready to share it yet in case I change my mind. haha. It’s been a great escape for me when life seems hard. And I’m grateful for it and all the amazing books I’ve been reading lately.  I’m currently engrossed in Tomb of the Sun King by Jacquelyn Benson and it’s a real treat. I highly recommend all of her books, they are amazing.

I also watched Ted Lasso over the Christmas period. Have you ever seen that? I wasn’t sure I was going to like this show, because let’s be real your girl isn’t into sports. But I truly loved it and highly recommend this series. I’m sad it’s finished and am hoping the rumors are true about its return. #believe

Well, I better get back to this manuscript of mine. I think I’ve finally cracked the ending and hope to have more to share in the next newsletter. Thanks for being patient with me on this one. It will be worth the wait I promise.
