Happy July!

Hi Friends,

How is your July going? I have been busy outlining my first book in my new fantasy mystery series, which I can’t wait to tell you more about. I just finished it yesterday, so today is my first day going into the writing trenches. Honestly, this is my favorite part. Sometimes my characters get into more trouble than even I think they are going to. 😊

I don’t know what kind of weather you guys are having, but this South Carolina summer weather is intense. We have had well over 100 degrees lately. The dogs aren’t happy about it and are wondering when I am going to turn off the heat. Haha. If only I had that kind of power. Mother Nature is definitely not happy. Matilda (my cat) is bragging she doesn’t have to go outside. She is such a scared little cat. My sister visited last weekend and Matilda spent the entire time in protest under the bed. Apparently, little children are NOT her thing. Lol. She also did not use her littler box and went elsewhere because she wouldn’t go downstairs to use her box. I was up close to midnight cleaning. Look at this face. Such a troublemaker. But I love her. 🙂 She is also obsessed with lamb chop. He’s never far away as you can see here.

What are you guys reading over the summer? I finished Fourth Wing, and wow that was a good one. I’m having a bit of a reading hangover, so if you have any suggestions please send them my way.
