Anybody else feel like time is flying by us? We are more than halfway through the year already. Wasn’t it just January? lol.
Last month I went on the first vacation I’d had in a really long time to Miami and Key West. I’d never been to either place before. I thought I was prepared for the heat, but man that experience was a whole other level. But it was a blast!
I think the highlight for me was going to Key West for the day. It was a long trip to spend just a few hours there, but I am so happy I did it! We went on an amazing boat ride out to a coral reef and saw all these fish through a glass bottom boat. I’m definitely going back when I get the chance!
After our boat excursion, we visited Hemingway house. Which exceeded my wildest expectations. Seriously, guys, I’m ready to move in. It has ALL the cats–polydactyl ones at that! AND a built in writers getaway. I was in heaven. If you guys have been following me for a while you know: CATS+WRITING=LIFE. 🙂
Of course, as I walked around touring his home I had visions of sitting out in the garden with cats all around, laptop in hand writing away…you get the idea. 🙂 A girl can dream can’t she? lol.

After we arrived home I went straight back into editing mode. I’m on round two of edits and then it will go off to my editor! I can’t wait for you guys to read this one! EEK!
What are you guys reading? While on vacation I finished School for Psychics. I loved how flawed this character was. I found myself really rooting for her! I just found out book 2 is already out so I am going to start that next. Let me know if you are reading anything awesome I should check out.
